Active curiosity is a mixture of being curious and doing something about it. This could be abstract or concrete, an idea or a startup. We started in 02010 with an idea for a Conference. Now, a few years later, we are working to create multiple platfor(u)ms to ask, create, share. Some of these are open, some are closed. We are working on the following awesome projects, The What If...? Conference, Film Festival, Workshop, Weekend, City, Book, Toolkit, Walk, and a few others that are not defined well enough to put them here.
We build various spaces for creative exploration into the unknown. We get groups to talk to 'the other' by crossing disciplines. We uncover hidden connections. We empower everyone to ask questions and do something about them. We encourage divergent thinking to push for better solutions.
We're a small company with a lot of passion. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of time and our gnomes hide our emails under new work. Please excuse us if it takes a second to get back to you.

We are happy to do consulting! Consider us if you need someone to remix the constraints you're facing, to ask better questions, to inject your group with a little eduprenuership, or to help prepare for the future.
Want to work with us? We don't have any openings right now, but we'd love to hear from you. Start a conversation with us!
We're close to opening this can of amazing - but not quite ready yet. Let us know that you're interested by filling out an application. Our sign up process is simple, but you will need to fill out a license agreement before you start organizing or we will make it rain fire.
If you're using our brand somewhere, here are the things you might need to know. Updated: January 13, 02013.
Our logo is determined per activity. For our business, the last line is LLC. For our Conference, the last line is Conference. Book, Book. You get it.
Don't use our materials in ways that look like a partnership if there is none.
We use four typefaces: Arial Black, Arial, Chalkduster, and Ampersand.
Arial Black: logo and headingsArial: contentChalkduster: logoAmpersand: fun
Arial for Content at 15px
We primarily use only three colors. On occasion, we use a few more.
Our message can be hard to explain. Here are some pointers.
We've struggled so you don't have to too. Look over how we explain events and our business - it should give you a good idea where to start.
Don't confuse people with long wording or roundabout explanations. Think about the main points, then revise, revise, revise.
Do you like fun? So does everyone else. Don't make us sound boring.
If you find something that tells our story better than we have, let us know!
All of these guidelines are important to us. Don't mess them up.
We'll only ask once.
